GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Luke Webb’s proposal to modify the bylaws was voted on and approved unanimously.
    • A new active or family member must attend six (6) regular meetings within a twelve (12) month period to receive voting rights.
  • In an effort to further protect club members and the Club from liability, Nancy Luzoro made a motion to require boat insurance policies to have a minimum of $500,000 liability upon renewal.  Nancy’s research estimates that the additional insurance will only cost $12.00 to $50.00 per year.  George Levien seconded the motion.  The change was voted on and approved unanimously.
  • The BOD is analyzing a dues increase to remedy our budget shortfall.
  • Juan Capello discussed the Mission Statement.  He asked how it was approved.  The BOD approved the Mission Statement.  Juan also asked if it needed to be voted on by the general membership.  He also questions the use of the word “traditional” as inappropriate and a liability to the Club.
